Learning Landscapes Ripple Effects
Established in 2004, Learning Landscapes is FRLT’s conservation and education program designed to facilitate the nature-kid connection throughout the school year with access to open space, place-based learning, and hands-on stewardship experiences.
In the 20 years since the program’s start, we’re trying to understand how teachers use the program and the impact it has on students. So far, we’ve done a detailed survey assessment with teachers and students.
Now, we want to hear from you!
- Chester & Westwood @ Almanor Recreation Center: Monday, October 28, 9am-12pm
- Greenville and Quincy @ PUSD District Office Boardroom: Tuesday, October 29, 9am-12pm
- Portola & Loyalton @ Sierra Valley Preserve and Nature Center: Wednesday, October 30, 9am-12pm
You don’t need to prepare anything to be part of our story collecting session! Karen and Leanne will lead small and larger group conversations to gather stories from you and others in the group. Then the group will work together to think about what the stories mean about the kinds of difference LL makes and to think about suggestions for its future. Lunch will be provided.
